Terms of Service

Welcome to Miylo. By accessing or using the Miylo platform — including our website at miylo.vercel.app and any related mobile or web applications — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree, do not use Miylo.

1. What Miylo Is

Miylo is a hyperlocal delivery and services marketplace currently operating in Epe, Lagos, Nigeria. We connect customers with local vendors, licensed pharmacists, and personal shoppers. Miylo is a platform — we do not own or operate any of the vendor stores listed on our platform, and we are not a pharmacy or medical provider.

Miylo employs its own delivery riders directly on a per-delivery basis. These riders are Miylo employees operating under our brand, conduct standards, and supervision. Miylo is fully responsible for the conduct of its riders during the performance of deliveries.

Our service is currently limited to Epe, Lagos State, Nigeria. Use of Miylo outside this service area is not supported and may result in failed orders.

2. Eligibility

To use Miylo you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age. Users between 16 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
  • Be located in or ordering for delivery within Epe, Lagos, Nigeria.
  • Provide a valid Nigerian phone number (+234) for account verification.
  • Not be previously banned or suspended from the Miylo platform.

By creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and current. Miylo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where false information is detected.

3. Orders and Delivery

When you place an order on Miylo, you are purchasing goods or services from an independent vendor listed on our platform. Miylo facilitates the transaction and delivery but is not the seller of the goods unless explicitly stated.

Delivery is carried out exclusively by Miylo-employed riders. We take full responsibility for the safe and timely delivery of your order. If your order arrives damaged, tampered with, or in a condition materially different from what was ordered, Miylo will take responsibility and process a resolution.

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, vendor preparation time, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Miylo does not guarantee specific delivery times.

You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address you provide is accurate and accessible. Miylo is not liable for failed deliveries caused by incorrect address information.

4. Payments and the Miylo Wallet

All payments on Miylo are processed through the Miylo Pay wallet system, powered by Paystack. By making a payment, you agree to Paystack's terms of service in addition to these terms.

When you place an order, the full order amount is held in escrow by Miylo until delivery is confirmed. Vendors receive payment only after successful delivery confirmation. This escrow model protects both customers and vendors.

Wallet top-ups are non-refundable except in cases of technical error. If you believe a top-up was charged incorrectly, contact support@miylo.com within 48 hours.

Miylo charges a delivery fee on each order. This fee is displayed clearly before you confirm your order and goes entirely to Miylo to cover rider costs and operations. Vendors also pay a commission to Miylo on each completed order. Neither fee is hidden or charged without disclosure.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Our refund policy is as follows:

  • Before rider pickup: You may cancel your order at any time before the assigned rider picks it up from the vendor. A full refund will be credited to your Miylo wallet immediately.
  • After rider pickup — order not as described: If your order arrives and is materially different from what the vendor advertised — wrong items, missing items, clearly different quantity or quality — you are eligible for a full or partial refund. You must raise a dispute within 30 minutes of delivery confirmation through the app.
  • After rider pickup — changed mind: Refunds are not available for orders that were correctly fulfilled by the vendor and delivered in good condition.
  • Damaged during delivery: If an order is damaged in transit due to rider error, Miylo accepts full responsibility and will refund or replace the order.

We strongly encourage customers to inspect their order upon delivery before dismissing the rider. This allows any issues to be resolved instantly on the spot.

All refunds are credited to your Miylo wallet. Refunds to your original payment method may take 3–7 business days depending on your bank.

6. Miylo Pharmacy — Important Disclaimer

Please read this section carefully before using Miylo Pharmacy.

Miylo Pharmacy is a platform that connects you with independent, PCN-licensed pharmacists practicing in Epe, Lagos. Miylo does not employ pharmacists. Pharmacists on our platform are independent licensed professionals responsible for their own clinical judgement and advice.

Miylo is not a pharmacy, medical provider, or healthcare company. We do not prescribe, recommend, or endorse any medication or treatment. The advice, prescriptions, and recommendations you receive through Miylo Pharmacy are entirely the professional responsibility of the pharmacist you consult.

Miylo expressly disclaims all liability for:

  • The accuracy, appropriateness, or safety of any pharmacist advice or prescription
  • Any adverse effects, reactions, or outcomes resulting from medication prescribed through our platform
  • Any misdiagnosis or failure to diagnose by a pharmacist
  • Any harm resulting from following or not following a pharmacist's advice

Miylo Pharmacy is not a substitute for emergency medical care, hospital treatment, or a formal doctor's consultation. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 112 or go to your nearest hospital immediately.

What Miylo is responsible for in the pharmacy service:

  • Verifying that all pharmacists on our platform hold valid PCN licenses at the time of onboarding
  • Delivering prescribed medications to you in the condition and quantity as prescribed
  • Ensuring you are charged accurately and fairly — we do not allow price inflation on medications
  • Keeping your consultation history private and secure

By using Miylo Pharmacy, you acknowledge and accept these limitations and agree not to hold Miylo liable for clinical outcomes.

7. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors listed on Miylo are independent businesses. They are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of their product listings, including descriptions, prices, and images
  • The quality, safety, and legality of the goods they sell
  • Food safety standards for food vendors
  • Fulfilling orders promptly and accurately
  • Not listing counterfeit, expired, or prohibited goods

Miylo reserves the right to remove any vendor from the platform for violating these responsibilities or for receiving sustained negative customer feedback.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Place fake, fraudulent, or malicious orders
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse any Miylo rider, vendor, pharmacist, or staff member
  • Attempt to manipulate prices, ratings, or reviews
  • Use Miylo Pharmacy to obtain controlled substances for non-medical purposes
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse promotions or referral programs
  • Attempt to bypass the Miylo payment system to pay vendors directly and avoid platform fees
  • Use Miylo for any illegal purpose under Nigerian law

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of wallet balance, and where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

9. Intellectual Property

The Miylo name, logo, platform design, and all content created by Miylo are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our brand assets without written permission.

Content you upload to Miylo — such as product images or review photos — remains yours. By uploading it, you grant Miylo a non-exclusive licence to display it on our platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Miylo's liability to you for any claim arising from use of our platform is limited to the value of the order in dispute.

Miylo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including lost profits, loss of data, or personal injury not directly caused by a Miylo rider during the course of delivery.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Miylo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or SMS.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lagos State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved through negotiation first, and if unresolved, through the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
